Vision and Mission

This is our why.

We are driven to connect as many people as possible with traditional sauna and cold plunge experiences and adventures. We aspire to make the world a better place, one sauna session at a time.

Our Story

My first sauna-like experience was with my family in a hut built from sticks and mud with a woodstove and a cast iron pan on the top with some rocks in it. There was a clear mountain stream rushing close by and we all eagerly plunged into the cold water after getting all hot and steamy. I was intrigued. Later a friend invited me to participate in a traditional American Indian sweat lodge ceremony. Now I was really intrigued.

These experiences took me down the rabbit hole of sauna and sweat lodge experiences across cultures worldwide. I found that getting together in a small hot room with close friends and family has been happening a very long time across many cultures and continents. So in 2012, I built my own log cabin sauna from trees growing in my back yard in southern Oregon, and I had my Dad weld me up a steel tray to hold stones on the top of a flat top woodstove. My wife and I would have date nights where we just left the kids in the house and rode our 4-wheeler to the back of the property to use the sauna. We made many great memories.

When we moved into the Willamette Valley of Oregon, we disassembled the sauna and labeled each piece. In researching Finnish sauna culture (the Finns are very steeped in the world of Sauna), I found that sauna sessions were often very social and followed by a feast. When we bought our 2-acre property near Corvallis, we resurrected the log cabin sauna, made quite a few upgrades, and began holding big social get togethers of our friends and families. Session after session, gathering after gathering I came to realize that there is something very powerful about the traditional sauna experience. Not just the health and well-being benefits (which are profound), but also in connecting people more closely together and facilitating the manifestation of joy into the world. After over a decade of perfecting the art of sauna experiences, I dreamed of sharing it with many other people. And I dreamed about bringing the sauna to some of the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest to share (snow, ocean, lakes, rivers) and plunge into natural cold waters. I believe that we can make the world a better place one sauna session at a time. Healing, inspiring, connecting, experiencing adventures, and making life-long memories.

Now at long last I am able to provide these experiences to you. First, I am making the original log cabin sauna available for rent, and I will build up a fleet of mobile sauna trailers (ultra light, off road, beast, and rustic models) for individual, group, and event rentals. Happy Sauna :)
